Mahabat Maqbara Hidden Historical Monument of India

Mahabat Maqbara: Also known as Bahauddin Maqbara located along with a busy road in Mullawada, Junagadh, Gujarat- 362001, India. Construction began to start in 1878 by Mahabat Khan II and was completed under the Nawab Bahadur Khan III in 1892.

Its architectural style is based on Gothic, Hindu, European and Indo-Islamic ornamentation. These awesome mausoleums are completely dedicated to Mahabat Khan II, who was the Nawab of Babi dynasty who ruled over the Junagadh between the 18th to 19th centuries.

Later some of its adjacent parts were built by Mahabat Khan II’s minister Sheikh Bahauddin Hussain Bhar with his own funds during the year 1891-1896 then it is known as Vazir’s Maqbara or Bahaudddin Maqbara.

Who Built Mahabat Maqbara

Mahabat Maqbara: Monument started to build in 1878 by Mahabat Khan II and completed in 1892 in Nawab Bahadur Khan III, located on a busy road of Junagadh as it is one of the renowned landmarks of Junagadh. It was used as a resting place of Wazir Bahauddin.

When India got freedom in 1947 and was partitioned with Pakistan, the last emperor of this place Mahabat Khan III decided to shift to Sindh, Pakistan, he left India and take over this place to the Independent government of India.

The entry to this place is free as anyone can explore that awesome monument without giving any cost. The entrance timing of that mausoleum is between 10.00 AM to 6.30 PM. Even here are no charges applicable on videography or photography as people can do their pre-wedding shoot.
